ILS researchers at NECTAR’26

The 18th conference of the “European Communications and Transport Activities Research” network took place this year at the Technical University of Munich. Angelina Atanova and Prof. Dr Noriko Otsuka gave presentations. Angelina Atonova’s topic was about her dissertation project “Temporary and permanent street redesigns: Shaping public acceptance and mobility behaviours through reversibility and participation”. Prof. Dr Noriko Otsuka spoke in a session on “The impact of accessibility to green and blue spaces on human mental health and well-being in advancing Green Care”.

ILS has been working on a Horizon Europe funded project, GreenME that aims to identify ways in which effective nature-based therapy and a broader green care framework can be scaled-up to improve adult mental health and wellbeing equity. One of the key topics in NECTAR2026 was “Health Impacts of Mobility Systems: Mental and physical health outcomes from (in)action”, thus it provided the excellent opportunity to showcase preliminary results from GreenME.
